Clarice A. Cooper

The Cheesecake Lady

An avid cook and baker, Clarice grew up in her grand parents' home with her mother until the age of nine.  During this impressionable time she was glued to both her mother and grand mother in the kitchen while they prepared meals.  Many lessons were learnt and in later years, cooking and baking became a great joy (along with eating).

She received her Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in 1988 from Acadia University, Wolfville, Nova Scotia, Canada.  There the cooking continued for friends with her delicious okra soup which she treated them to every year.

After university she worked in the banking industry for 29.5 years and during that time The Cheesecake Lady was birthed.  The social club needed funds, the test GUAVA cheesecake that had been made for a coworker, Lee, was the key and Linda T. asked "How much?"  A GUAVA cheesecake gifted as a raffle item grew into a side business and now a home based business after retirement.
